Our story

The story we carry into every room

Two brothers, two roads through addiction, one shared calling. Christian’s chapters are below; Tyler’s are coming soon.

Miami

I dropped out in 9th grade and learned the fast life early. Selling weed, MDMA, Xanax. Then taking them. Percocet and Xanax nearly wrote my ending before I turned 22.

The turn

Marriage at 22 flipped the script. I built a computer repair shop into a real business, sold it, and became VP of a cloud startup in Austin.

Google

Eight and a half years at Google taught me how high performers burn out quietly, and how the same nervous system that survives the street also drives the boardroom.

The fight comes home

My father died of a heroin overdose. This year my brother survived sepsis, endocarditis, and open heart surgery from IV use. Recovery is not a concept to me. It is my family’s daily fight.

Breath for Recovery exists so fewer families get that phone call.

The founders

Two brothers, one mission

We have lived what addiction takes. Now we use everything we walked through to help people build a better life through sobriety and God, one breath at a time.

Somatic, defined

Somatic breathwork: healing that starts in the body

Somatic comes from the Greek soma: the living body. Somatic breathwork works where addiction and burnout actually live: in the nervous system, the chest, the gut, the jaw. Insight alone rarely changes a body that still feels unsafe. Practice does.

Body first

Stress, trauma, and craving are body states before they are thoughts. We start where they start.

Feel to heal

Sensation is the doorway. When the body is finally allowed to feel inside a safe container, it can release what it has been holding.

Trained, not talked

Regulation is a capacity you build like strength: repetition, load, rest. Every session is a rep.

Why it works

Why breath, why sound

Regulate

Intentional, connected breathing shifts the body out of fight or flight and engages the parasympathetic brake the nervous system forgot it had.

Release

Somatic work reaches what talk alone can’t: stored trauma, grief, and shame held in the body.

Rewire

Cravings and stress live in the nervous system. Repeated practice builds a new baseline to come home to.

Rhythm

Engineered sound and frequency give the breath something to lock onto: every session scored like a set, built to carry you through.
